My Menu Bar

My Menu Bar, originally uploaded by banyue.

Synergy - An iTunes control toy, which provides functions like show current song info, global hot key, and tiny “previous, paly/pause, next” control panel on menu bar while iTunes running (This why I choose it).

Twitterrific - Fabulous Twitter tool on Mac. A must-have application for people who both are twitter and Macer.

Last.fm - Official client of Last.fm. You can use it play melody whatever you like without logging into its webpage. Meanwhile, it also scrobbles local song info to your Last.fm account integrated with iTunes tightly. Make the SNS more musical.

Aurora - Free Alarm application work with iTunes. With it, I can finally get rid of those dull cell phone or Palm ringtones.

Rescue Time - It stays at background monitoring how long you spend on every particular application or website. Then you can check it out on its site, and decide how to manage your time more efficient. Unfortunately, no Chinese character support on that site.

QuickSilver - Another must-have application for every mac lover. Tons of tutorials show that it can do almost everything. But currently, I just use it as a handy application launcher.

iStat menus - Shows your Mac’s statue on menu bar, including CPU, memory, hard drive, network, etc. And a small calender.

Bluetooth - Default bluetooth statue icon. Useless to people without bluetooth gadgets, like me.

Airport - Default wireless network statue icon.

Volume - Default volume statue icon.

Fun Input Toy - Free Chinese input method. Much better than the silly iTap ABC.

Battery - Default icon for battery and Energy Save app.

Time & Date - See how to customize it to show the date of month on menu bar.

Spotlight - One of great features of OS X.
